Leeds Roller Dolls at the Windermere Row - 04/06/11

On 4th June 2011, six of the Leeds Roller Dolls (Caesar Maniac, Chernobelle, Luna Landing, Robin Hoodlum, R.I.Punzel and Terror Track-Doll) headed to the Lake District to take on the Windermere Row for St Gemma's Hospice - this year in it's 30th anniversary.
They rowed 10 miles across Lake Windermere in a wee wooden boat. It was a punishing challenge but being as competitive off skates as on, they gave it their all, in windy conditions, to finish 3rd place in the ladies category with time of 2hrs 39 minutes.
They have so far raised a staggering £890 for St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds, which provides specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, along with support for their families.
It's not too late to sponsor them! And you can do it online at http://www.justgiving.com/dollsdowindermere
Well done ladies!
